Along with the series of success, Al-Aqsa University has recently won two ICM projects within the Erasmus+ program, the EU programmes which support the international exchange of students, academics, ideas and good practices between cooperating institutions. The two projects are for the 2019 cycle which will start in spring semester and one of them will take place in Spain which will be implemented in cooperation with University of Almeria in Spain , the other will be implemented in cooperation with Ca'Foscari University of Venice in Italy which will last for three years. In this context, it is worth noting that  Al-Aqsa university has an ICM ongoing project with Yildiz Technical University in Turkey.

This first cycle of this projects successfully finished  by the end of the spring semester. Two of our best students participated in this valuable experience, they joined the class of mathematics at YTU for 4 months. During their stay they experienced new language and new culture besides exchanging their own experiences with their counterparts. In the term of staff exchange, 2 academic staff and 3 administrative staff participated in this exchange experience for 5 days at YTU. In this short-term visit, they managed to give lectures in their fields, experiment and develop new learning practices and teaching methods, increase knowledge of social, linguistic and/or cultural matters, build up new contacts/expand my professional network, and reinforce the cooperation with a partner institution.

According to Al-Aqsa University internationalization strategy, it always seeks to widen its cooperation with all higher education institutes in all over the worlds especially in EU. as our strategy aims at raising the cultural and social awareness and among our students and staff  it is important to increase the opportunities of ICM to build new relations with new partners and strengthen the relationships with the current ones.
