The Researcher in Astronomy from Al-Aqsa University Prof. Sulaiman Baraka Was Selected as One of the Senior Physicists of the International Astronomical Union's Centennial Celebration Program
The researcher Prof. Suleiman Baraka is the director of the Research Center for Space and Astronomy at the University. He recently won of the Renata Boulogne International Prize and was selected one of the senior physicists in the Astronomical Union's Centennial Celebration Program which was held in Brussels. The ceremony also included physicists who awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics for the year 2019.
Prof. Baraka emphasized on the importance of astrophysics in Palestine and the world in general, as it is vital for both scientific and moral development of humanity. The work of Prof. Baraka at Research Center for Space and Astronomy at AQU focuses on providing a nurturing environment for creative projects, educational programs and innovative research, and contributing to the production of astronomical materials with a new perspective.
Prof. Baraka spoke about the role of the Astronomy and Space Research Center in disseminating the culture of astrophysics in Palestine, as well as its impact on the Palestinian society through its management of the various Palestinian astronomical groups, carrying out many international projects in and out of Al-Aqsa University
