Despite the difficult circumstances in the Gaza Strip such as scarcity of water resources and a lot of problems associated with water for examples salinity and water shortage . Al-Aqsa University has recently opened and operated the desalination and cooling station in its branch in Khan Younis with capacity of 5 m3 / hour to increase the quantity of drinking water and improved its quality at the University. Moreover, it is trying to mitigate water crisis through outreach programs delivered to the university's community in order to raise the efficiency of the use of water and sanitation facilities . The university is keen to use saving water taps, thus reducing the percentage of losses. It is also considering the possibility of implementing rainwater harvesting project on the campus and reusing it.
