Program Vision:

             Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences was established in 2010, experiencing constant evolution ever since. Currently, medical laboratory sciences department offers a four-year program of study leading to a Bachelor Degree in medical laboratory sciences; Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences (B.Sc.). In its long-term strategy, Medical Laboratory Sciences department works steadily to have graduate and post-graduate studies in medical laboratory sciences in all of its areas of discipline;

Program Mission:

             Medical Laboratory Sciences programme in Al-Aqsa University seeks to provide high quality programmes that prepare scientific cadres who are capable of absorbing whatever new in the scientific research and to develop it and to make it comply with society issues and problems. Our mission comes in harmony with the University’s mission that focuses on preparing graduates who are provided with necessary knowledge and skills to support the improvement on the local and regional levels.

Ultimate Goal of the Program:

             The Master's Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Sciences aims to providing a teaching staff in the realm of the Palestinian learning by studying Master's Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Sciences.

Objectives could be summarized as follows:

1. The general objective of the program:

Proceeding from the fact that the university plays an essential role in promoting well-qualified academics, and following up technological and scientific developments, the opening of Master's program in Medical Laboratory Sciences aims at provident society with specialized professionals in the field of scientific research in various institutions including the authority of environment, the ministry of health, the ministry of agriculture and industries. It is worth mentioning that the developments that Al-Aqsa University has witnessed aim at preparing qualified students to full fill the needs of teaching and research assistants as well as graduate students.

2. Specific Objectives:

1. Preparing graduate students with highly technical and scientific skills in the field of Medical Laboratory Sciences in core specialties of the profession (clinical chemistry, microbiology, clinical immunology, hematopathology , cytogenetics and Lab management) to carry out productive basic as well as community-health type research.
2. Preparing graduates capable of working in various laboratories in hospitals or other fields.
3. Preparing professional care able to work as teaching and research assistants in different universities.
4. Fulfilling the needs of Labor market including well – trained graduates in the field of Medical Laboratory Sciences.
5. Providing the public sector with well – trained cadre to work in the ministry of health.
