The Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Education at Al-Aqsa University aims to prepare and qualify distinguished graduates in the fields of educational sciences, especially psychology, so that they have the ability to learn continuously by employing information and communication technology in the teaching and learning processes, refining the talents and skills of students, and taking care of research and studies and offering consultations to local and regional community. It also works hard to activate the movement of knowledge exchange in various fields of educational sciences in accordance with the overall quality standards, ethical and professional requirements, and provides consultations to serve the local and regional communities.
Psychology is concerned with the study of how people think, feel, and interact with society, as well as how they both affect and are affected by others. It is also concerned with the process of human growth in all of its manifestations In order to understand the factors that contribute to the emergence of mental disorders or developmental problems. It works to create preventive, diagnostic, advisory, and therapeutic plans and programs for such cases.
As a science, it is focused on how people behave, think, and feel. It is also interested in how social relationships form and how they affect both the individuals involved as well as others.
