Since its foundation, the Faculty of Media at Alaqsa University has been constantly evolving and attempting to keep up with the demands of the age and the needs of Palestinian society. It also works to provide society with graduates who are specialized and skilled in all areas of media. The Faculty of Media traces its roots back to the establishment of the Department of Educational Media in the academic year 1996/1997. Then It took consistent steps toward excellence and development as in 2003, it became the Faculty of Media and Arts, then in 2005, it evolved into the Faculty of Media to be the first in Palestine and the leader in the areas of radio, television, journalism, and public relations in terms of its components, studios, laboratories, and multidisciplinary teaching staff.
The faculty is a part of Al-Aqsa University and offers a bachelor's degree in media with specialties in radio, television, journalism, and public relations, as well as a master's degree in media and communication sciences. It is also linked with the Palestinian Ministry of Higher Education and offers media education services based on advanced practical and scientific programs.
